Scott & Sarah came to Spain

Just after starting a three month, whistle-stop, tour round Europe, Scott and Sarah arrived in Barcelona.  The itinerary sounds exhausting but lots of fun so on one of their 'free days' we met up for lunch, Tapas on Rambla Cataluna.  Then it was off to Sitges for an afternoon on the beach. After a stop by our place for a shower, cool drink and a bit of internet access it was back to Sitges for some retail therapy for Sarah and Dinner.

Lots of driving for Graeme, we didn't get back home till midnight BUT we didn't have to be up at 6am for a coach to Nice this morning!  It was lovely to meet Sarah and see Scott again, who we haven't seen since his Dad, Rog's 50th birthday in Auckland.

Day Out Driving

So today, for a change, we went out for a drive, at 11am.  Just got back at 6pm!

Lovely long drive, through the hills of Cataluña, stopping off at various roadsides and places of interest to take a couple of pics and then Lunch in a village new to us, Prades.

Lovely lunch, nice n cheap.  Gorgeous little village, with a very picturesque square.

After lunch, more driving through winding hills stunning views till we thought sod it let's drive through Salou on the way home, just for a laugh!

Surprisingly it wasn't half as bad as I was expecting.  It's a very big town comprised mostly, it seemed, of medium sized tower blocks and apartment complexes BUT the beach was massive.  Deep/wide and VERY long, mile after mile of nice looking sand and even though it was busy there was still tons more free space than not.
